Tyson Beckford and Transgender model, Ines Rau. |
This is the main reason I never considered modeling -- there will be that time (or times) where you'd have to do something
questionable for job.
Again -- this is a transgender model opposite of Beckford (i.e., a man).
Why would Beckford put himself in a compromising situation as this? Perhaps he didn't find this too compromising. In defense of Beckford, I don't believe these pics make him a homosexual. They
are homoerotic. Is he
gay-for-pay? Maybe. What's gay-for-pay? Gay-for-pay references men that are straight, but perform in gay porn or gay modeling
solely for a check.

Beckford and Rau take intimate photos together. |
Modeling is art. Modeling involves innovation; doing something that hasn't been done before. Men take homoerotic pictures all the time. I can't say with assertion that Beckford is the first model to pose with a transgender person. I will say that the director was seeking something innovative.
I think Beckford isn't known for being homosexual and perhaps this is why these pics have created an uproar. They do put him in a compromising position, though. From what I understand, his romantic interest supported the shoot. So if she was cool with it, then that settles everything.
These are homoerotic-looking pictures, though.
